Strategic PlanningThe OIG is an independent oversight organization responsible to the American people, the Secretary, and Congress. We strive to maintain a strong ethical standard and place our highest value in the integrity of our employees and products. We seek to continuously evaluate and improve the Department’s accountability so our ideas and performance results make us a leader in the U.S. Government. Thus, strategic planning is at our core. Our plan assists the OIG in providing customers with quality, value-added products and services, improving the efficiency of our internal operations, and ensuring the responsible stewardship of budget and resources.
