While all OIG records are retained according to the Federal record retention schedule, most records are not
retained permanently. Therefore, the more information you provide, the easier it will be to determine if the
records still exist and their location. In order for a record to be considered subject to your FOIA request,
it must be in the OIG's possession and control at the time we begin the search for responsive records.
Please provide any other information you have that will assist the OIG in locating the record, such as the
office that created it or the geographical location. The records description area below is limited to 5,000
characters. If you require more space to identify what you are seeking, or if you want to provide supporting
documentation, you may send that information to the OIG FOIA Office via fax (202.219.1944 - Attn: FOIA Officer)
or email (FOIA@doioig.gov) or by mail (U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of Inspector General,
FOIA Officer, 1849 C Street, NW, MS-4428, Washington, DC 20240). You may also attach documents to this form.
(See instructions below the text box). Please be sure to include your name, email address,
phone number, and date of your FOIA request on your fax, email, or mailed document.

You may also attach up to 5 documents (with no more than 25 pages total) by using the fields below.
To upload a file, click the 'Browse' button and select the file on your computer that you would like to attach. You must do this for each document.
Format of Records
The OIG must provide the record in the form or format you request if we can readily reproduce the
record in that form or format with reasonable efforts. You may be charged the direct costs involved
in converting information to the requested format if we normally do not maintain the information in
that format.
