Allegations of Embezzlement by Crow Tribe Officials Unfounded

OIG investigated allegations that two former officials for the Crow Fair Celebration Powwow & Rodeo embezzled funds from the event’s bank account.

Our investigation found no evidence to substantiate the allegations. We interviewed the former officials who denied they embezzled funds and voluntarily provided us with original receipts they maintained for expenditures made from the account. Our review of the receipts found no evidence of embezzlement or misuse.
