OIG audited grants from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to Iowa’s Department of Natural Resources under the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. The audit included claims totaling $42.3 million on 16 grants that were open during the State fiscal years that ended June 30, 2015, and June 30, 2016. These funds are provided to the States from grants funded through the sale of fishing and hunting licenses.
We found that the Department complied with applicable grant accounting and regulatory requirements. We did not identify any reportable conditions.
