U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program Grants Awarded to the State of Mississippi; Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks; From July 1, 2014, Through June 30, 2016

Our audit of costs claimed by the state of Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks under grants awarded by FWS found that the Department complied, in general, with applicable grant accounting and regulatory requirements. They had not, however, conducted adequate risk assessments for subrecipients, established monitoring plans, or publicly reports subawards of over $25,000. We had one recommendation and asked for a corrective action plan.
