OIG investigated allegations that a private company in Louisiana falsified training course certificates for personnel who conduct oil and gas operations in the Gulf of Mexico and failed to spend adequate amount of time instructing its students on critical safety protocols. We did not find any evidence that the company falsified training certifications and noted that regulations do not specify time requirements for courses identified in a safety training plan. We provided a copy of the investigative report to BSEE for information only.
