Description
We investigated allegations that a National Park Service (NPS) law enforcement supervisor at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CHAT) inappropriately touched two of his colleagues. We confirmed that on two occasions, the supervisor touched a CHAT division chief on her upper thigh, and that this contact was unwelcome. We also learned during our investigation that the supervisor touched another NPS employee in a way that made her uncomfortable. These incidents were reported to the CHAT superintendent, but he did not investigate them or report them to the Human Resources or Equal Employment Opportunity offices, as required by U.S. Department of the Interior policy.
We provided a report of our investigation to NPS Director Jon Jarvis for review and action.
