BLM Employee Exonerated of Resume Fraud

OIG investigated allegations that a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) contracting officer submitted a fraudulent resume when he copied some of the language from a co-worker’s resume, used verbiage directly from the job announcement, and falsely claimed 30 percent disabled veteran status. We did not substantiate the allegations. As there was no identifiable violation of criminal statute, this matter was not presented for prosecution.
