Former Tribal Employee Alleged to use Credit Card for Private Purchases

OIG investigated allegations that a former tribal conservation director used a tribally-issued charge card to purchase a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 for himself, then later made additional charges for maintenance and repairs on that vehicle.

 

We did not substantiate the allegations. The vehicle was titled and registered to the tribe. The vehicle was purchased by the tribe and was never the personal property of the former tribal conservation director. This is a summary of an investigative report that was issued to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for information.
