Investigation of Alleged Improper Disposal and Destruction of Government Property by Employees at Gulf Islands National Seashore

We investigated an allegation that Gulf Islands National Seashore (Gulf Islands) employees had Government property destroyed though it was still useful. We found that Gulf Islands’ disposition of the property complied with Government guidelines, the property was unserviceable, and National Park Service was paid for the value of the scrap metal salvaged from the equipment.
