Description
We found that Fay Iudicello, while serving as Director of the U.S. Department of the Interior’s (DOI) Office of the Executive Secretariat and Regulatory Affairs, used her position and influence to give a management analyst a hiring advantage over qualified applicants with master’s degrees and veteran’s preference. Moreover, two of Iudicello’s subordinates knowingly circumvented governmental hiring processes in order to select her preferred candidate for the management analyst position.
Iudicello retired from DOI in January 2016. We provided our report on this investigation to DOI Chief of Staff Tommy Beaudreau for review and action.
