Investigation of BLM Employee’s Time, Attendance, and Travel

We investigated a complaint that a Bureau of Land Management employee was committing time and attendance fraud, including falsifying his time and attendance records and claiming a personal trip as official Government business.

We did not substantiate the allegation that the employee had falsified his time and attendance records. However, a 2014 trip to Salt Lake City, UT, which the employee had claimed was for official Government business, did appear to have been taken at least partly for personal reasons.
