OIG investigated a complaint that a former Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Wild Horse and Burro Program Specialist entered several questionable requests for contractor payments into the agency’s database that is responsible for making such payments. The entries constituted either double payment requests for one invoice or had no invoice to back them up.
OIG found no financial loss to the Government since BLM did not process any of the payment requests, thus making the allegation unsubstantiated.
