Investigation of Misuse of a Government Credit Card and Theft at Gateway National Recreational Area

OIG investigated allegations that a National Park Service maintenance employee at the Gateway National Recreational Area in New York and New Jersey purchased a residential water heater using his Government credit card and then installed the water heater at his supervisor’s home.  Our investigation confirmed that the maintenance employee used his Government credit card to purchase the water heater and that he installed it at his supervisor’s home.
