Investigation of Possible Conflict of Interest by BIA Contracting Officer

A Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) contract specialist represented a private entity at the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development Reservation Economic Summit (RES) held in Las Vegas, NV, in March 2016.

 

We found that the contract specialist did attend the RES, while on annual leave, but we did not find evidence that the contract specialist represented any private entities or organizations that would have been in conflict with official duties as a BIA employee.
