Description

OIG initiated this investigation after receiving allegations that Slawson Exploration Company (Slawson) failed to properly adjust natural gas royalties and failed to meet the company’s major portion and dual accounting liability to the mineral owners associated with the Fort Berthold and Fort Peck Indian Reservations for production year 2011.

Our investigation disclosed that Slawson had a history of not correcting major portion and dual accounting liabilities, and failed to correct production year 2011 royalties, which resulted in an underpayment of royalties.
