Summary of Bureau of Indian Education Violence Prevention Inspections

In this management advisory, we summarized a series of inspections that we conducted to determine the quality of measures in place at schools funded by the Bureau of Indian Education to prevent violence, against both students and staff, from internal and external threats. We visited 16 schools, identified the safety measures in place, and made recommendations for improving safety measures at each school. A number of schools have already begun implementing our recommendations.
