OIG reviewed two reports prepared by the Bureau of lndian Affairs (BIA) for the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). The reports, FY 2012's "Accounting Report" and "Performance Summary Review Report," were presented in place of the "Detailed Accounting Submission and Performance Summary Report" required by an ONDCP Circular. The Circular allows this alternative reporting method when an agency meets certain criteria. BIA management has asserted that it met these criteria in FY 2012.
We limited our review to BIA's assertion. Based on our review, nothing came to our attention that caused us to believe that BIA management had not made its assertion in accordance with the Circular.
