We investigated allegations that the former Executive Director of a non-profit organization provided bid information from competing vendors to a purported family member to give them advantage in securing a $38,000 construction contract funded through a National Park Service (NPS) cooperative agreement.
The Executive Director admitted to providing budget information to the two competing bidders, including the purported family member’s company; however, we did not find evidence she provided competitive bid information or otherwise gave preferential treatment to either bidder. We also found she was not related to the vendor in question.
