The OIG investigated allegations that a Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) employee misused a U.S. Government purchase card. Specifically, the complaint alleged that the employee deliberately overbought supplies for a BOR office and gave the excess items to a family member for personal use or sale.
We did not substantiate the allegations. We concluded that all the purchases were properly authorized and were consistent with supply requirements at the facility.
We audited costs claimed by the Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife Resources (Division) under grants awarded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) through the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. We conducted this audit to determine whether the Division used grant funds and State hunting and fishing license revenue for allowable fish and wildlife activities and complied with applicable laws and regulations, FWS guidelines, and grant agreements.
