We audited costs claimed and grant compliance by the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife under grants awarded by the FWS.

We investigated whether a BIA employee improperly received gifts, influenced a nonprofit’s operations, and awarded funds to a university.

We did not substantiate allegations that the National Park Service improperly hired a senior political employee.

We audited costs claimed by the Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife Resources (Division) under grants awarded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) through the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. We conducted this audit to determine whether the Division used grant funds and State hunting and fishing license revenue for allowable fish and wildlife activities and complied with applicable laws and regulations, FWS guidelines, and grant agreements.

At the request of then Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior David Bernhardt and Members of Congress, we reviewed the actions the U.S. Park Police (USPP) took to disperse protesters in and around Lafayette Park in Washington, DC, on June 1, 2020. Our review focused on events that occurred in and around the park from May 29 through June 3 amid the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests.
