Chief of Staff
Jill Baisinger is Chief of Staff at the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of the Interior. She has served in this position since June 2022, and she previously served as the Senior Counselor since August 2020.
Ms. Baisinger previously served as Chief of Staff at the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of State, and prior to that, she worked in the Office of General Counsel at the U.S. Sentencing Commission. Before joining the federal government, she was employed as an attorney in private practice at law firms in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Wilmington, Delaware; and Washington, D.C. In this work, she focused on corporate investigations, corporate governance matters, and securities litigation. She began her career as a law clerk for Judge Marvin Katz in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Baisinger received her B.A. (1993) in history and Spanish from Kansas State University and an M.A. in Irish Studies from Queen’s University of Belfast (1995). She received her J.D. (1998) from Yale Law School.
