Caryl Brzymialkiewicz
Deputy Inspector General

The Deputy Inspector General is responsible for the day-to-day management of OIG operations and coordination of the activities of each OIG component. Ms. Brzymialkiewicz works closely with the Inspector General to lead the full range of OIG activities, including assisting the Inspector General in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, directing the OIG’s nationwide audit and investigative programs, supervising legal and administrative management programs, and engaging with critical stakeholders to include Department leadership and members of Congress and their staffs.

Jill Baisinger
Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff directly supports the Inspector General, the Deputy Inspector General, and other senior OIG leadership on the full range of OIG activities, including legislative, strategic, and risk management matters. Ms. Baisinger provides advice and recommendations on OIG functions, programs, and work products.

Erica Paulson
Associate Inspector General, Congressional and External Affairs

External Affairs serves as the primary liaison between Congress and the OIG, “keeping…..Congress fully and currently informed” as mandated in the Inspector General Act of 1978.  The office maintains relationships and conveys information with elected officials, external stakeholders, and the press.  Through media relations, management of the OIG websites, and social media, External Affairs leads OIG efforts to provide citizens information and access.
